The Influence
Mystery online film "The Influence" revolves around promises kept even though time has passed. To keep their values, characters are at a critical juncture to act upon their promises.well, i was hooked in the first 5 seconds of this. it was so different and elegantly shot that i'm still not fully sure how to properly convey it. it starts out quickly so you won't be bored. and i'm a fan of story puzzles and this one was quite the jigsaw! i highly recommend. the bonus is that it's short so you can finish it in 1 sitting! :D

Lee Dong Gun appointed celebrity military officer
i'll be honest, i couldn't care less about what he does in the military. i posted this because it had been so long since i'd heard about him doing anything, it served as a reminder that he's still alive! >'< 
Korean actor Lee Dong Gun, who entered the military last month as part of fulfilling the country's mandatory army duties, will be working as a celebrity military officer for the remainder of his serving period.
According to Korea's Defense Media Agency on Friday, the actor was recently assigned to the PR department in the agency after receiving five weeks of basic training at Chuncheon's 102 Reserve.
"I am personally honored that I will be able to use my talent in serving the military", the actor was quoted as saying. "I will do my best in my assignments to be of great help to the military such as boosting the morale of military officers and appearing on TV programs".

He entered the military on June 15, a day after he announced that he would be enlisting.

He will AGAIN be playing a role in a show that Japan and Taiwan already made(Boys Over Flowers). I wish I could say I was excited but I'm overwhelming disappointed with the show choice due to the lack of originality. At least I'll get to see him acting again. :/

"And his strong will to win, which is one of the necessary virtues that an actor must have to lead a mini-series, was also a big factor", the director went onto say. "I think you may well look forward to Kim's natural appearance and relaxed acting in the drama".
The romantic comedy, which starts shooting this month, will premiere on MBC on September 1.
Korean singer and actor Kim Hyun Joong has been confirmed as the male lead in upcoming TV series "Mischievous Kiss" based on popular Japanese comic "Itazura na Kiss", according to agency KEYEAST on Friday.
KEYEAST announced in a press release that Kim has been cast for the role of Baek Sung-jo, the all-around Mr. Perfect-type character who ends up falling in love with a girl always getting into trouble, to be played by actress Jeong So Min.

The romantic comedy, which starts shooting this month, will premiere on MBC on September 1.

After Kangin’s enlistment yesterday, he will be joined by another Korean celebrity a week later.
It was revealed on the 6th that Lee Wan (26) whose real name is Kim Hyung Soo will be enlisting in the army next Monday, July 12th at Nonsan Army Training Center. He will receive 5 weeks of basic military training and thereafter serve for the next 20 months.
His agency representative said, “Lee Wan received his enlistment notice late last month and he will serve his nation for the next 20 months.”
He was last seen in the 2009 SBS drama, Swallow The Sun.

Hangeng releases first MV of trilogy series
As we inch closer to the release of Hangeng’s first solo Mandarin album, Geng Xin, he has now released the first MV in what will be a movie-like trilogy series.
The first MV is based off his track, 飞蛾扑火 (Moths to Flame/Fatal Attraction/Fire) is filmed with the concept of the main character’s internal struggle under the lights and cameras, his weariness of the world, how he wants to escape and his longing to a simple life.
At the same time, the MV’s beginning and ending shows the plot line through the usage of a comic book, detailed pictures and Hangeng’s determined look in his eyes are put together with HanGeng’s powerful and dazzling dance.
Other songs included in this trilogy include Say No and 撑伞 (Holding Umbrella) and fans will just have to wait a little while more to view them.

Rain liquidates J.Tune Entertainment stock, angers stockholders
Rain has recently become the source of a hot issue in Korea due to his latest financial decision. The popular artist / actor sold off every single one of his shares of J.Tune Entertainment.
Rain was previously the majority shareholder of J.Tune Entertainment, an entertainment company that he is signed to.
Other shareholders of the company, mainly average working folks who invested small sums (small sums in the big picture but large investments from their perspective), are in anger as Rain’s departure made the share price drop to a new low of about 28 cents. This price is very low compared to $27, the price that the shares were going for when Rain first became the majority shareholder and when many invested into the company.
Another controversy is the fact that J.Tune Entertainment paid Rain approximately $23 million to sign a contract with them – and Rain was the company’s majority shareholder, which some argue that he could have had control over how much would have been paid to himself by the company. Small-time shareholders argue that Rain abused his position as majority shareholder to pay a gigantic sum of the company’s capital, which ultimately is the shareholders’ money, to himself.
J.Tune Entertainment made $12.6 million in revenue during the period that Rain was with them. Some of the shareholders are apparently trying to put together a lawsuit against Rain; if it’s determined that Rain committed foul play, he could be charged for embezzlement among other various offenses.
However, those that are familiar with the entertainment industry say that there is no problem with the contract. J.Tune Entertainment might have only made $12.6 million after having invested $23 million in Rain, but since his contract with them will last until late 2011 (October 2011), there is still a lot of time for Rain to generate revenue for the company.
Also, Korean Financial Supervisory Services, the government agency that oversees the financial market, says that they have no problem with this matter. Their explanation is that although Rain was the majority shareholder, he wouldn’t have had control over how much he was paid by
J.Tune as it was a matter that the Board of Directors decided on, not Rain.
An industry analyst stated that the future of J. Tune Entertainment could be stormy depending on how people view Rain’s liquidation of the stock. If they view it as a break up / split from the company or rather a financial maneuver. Hopefully, things will all work out. Rain recently completed his Love Tour concert series in Japan.

LIVE ’10 WORLD TOUR in Los Angeles at the world-famous STAPLES Center on Saturday,
September 4th at 7:00 PM.
This concert is a part of SM Entertainment’s world tour project which will begin in Seoul, then continue to LA, Tokyo, Shanghai, and other major Asian cities. It is the first time that AEG LIVE, one of the largest concert promoters in the world, is hosting an Asian concert at STAPLES Center.
The SMTOWN LIVE ’10 WORLD TOUR will go beyond Asia and take place globally as a grand music festival featuring top-notched artists from SM Entertainment, one of the largest artist management agencies not just in Korea but in Asia overall.
Artist lineup for the Los Angeles concert is KANGTA, BoA, U KNOW, MAX, SUPER JUNIOR, GIRLS’ GENERATION, SHINee, f(x), Zhang Ri Yin, Trax and other SM artists

well, courtesy of ella's inability to act serious i knew i would get some laughs with this show. it was pretty cute but rather angsty at points. and as much as i want to say that jerry's acting saved the couple, they really had no chemistry! xP jerry made it worthwhile for me (god he's hot!!! xD ) otherwise, you might want to think twice.
